    <jats:p>Andes Pediatrica/Revista Chilena de Pediatría (AP/RCHP), mantiene un perfil de documentos que abarca todos los formatos de la publicación científica, desde Artículos Originales (AO) hasta Cartas al Editor. Para una adecuada planificación editorial se requiere un análisis bibliométrico de largo plazo. Objetivo: Describir el perfil de AO publicados en AP/RCHP en las últimas 2 décadas. Metodología: Desde una lista de vocabulario controlado se estandarizaron los descriptores temáticos y metodológicos de los documentos del 2000 al 2020. Se analizó nacionalidad, género y profesión de los autores, tipología documental y diseño de los AO. Se analizó los descriptores citados en Google Schoolar y los más visitados en el sitio web de la revista en los últimos años. Resultados: Se publicaron 1.738 manuscritos, 580 (33,4%) AO, con un incremento de 59 a 129 AO entre el primer y último trienio. El promedio de autores fue superior para los AO (4,7) que para los no originales (3,0); el año 2020 hubo 9 colaboraciones multicéntricas de distintos países. Los AO de autores extranjeros incrementaron de 3,3 a 28,7%, la autoría en primera posición de profesionales no médicos aumentó de 15 a 31%, hubo predominio de primer autor femenino (relación 1,4/1). De los AO 9,1% eran experimentales, 3,3% cualitativos y el resto cuantitativos observacionales. Los descriptores más publicados fueron Nutrición, Infectología, Neonatología y Broncopulmonar, mientras que los más citados fueron Nutrición, Neonatología y Salud Oral, sin tendencia entre los más visitados. El 44% de los artículos más citados y el 35% de los más visitados fueron AO. Conclusiones: Destaca un importante incremento de AO publicados, con baja frecuencia de diseños experimentales. Hubo participación de autores de distintas nacionalidades y profesiones. Los AO contribuyeron a un tercio de las visitas y casi la mitad de las citas, sin demostrarse correlación entre los descriptores más publicados y los más citados.</jats:p>

    International perspective on healthcare provider gender bias in musculoskeletal pain management: a scoping review protocol

    <jats:sec><jats:title>Introduction</jats:title><jats:p>Chronic pain affects millions of individuals worldwide. Healthcare provider gender bias in the management of these individuals has societal and individual ramifications. Yet, a thorough and comprehensive literature summary on this topic is lacking. Therefore, this study aims to systematically: (1) identify and map the available scientific and grey literature as it relates to healthcare provider gender bias in the assessment, diagnosis and management of (chronic) musculoskeletal pain and (2) identify current gaps that necessitate further research.</jats:p></jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title>Methods and analysis</jats:title><jats:p>This scoping review will be conducted in accordance with recent guidelines, and the results will be reported via the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews. The following databases will be searched: PubMed (National Library of Medicine), Embase (Elsevier), Scopus (Elsevier), CINAHL Complete (Ovid), Academic Search Complete (Ebscohost), Pre-Prints Database (National Library of Medicine) and Rehabilitation Reference Center from inception to August 2022. Additionally, relevant grey literature will be identified. All screening will be done by two independent reviewers during two stages: first title/abstract screening followed by full-text screening. Data will be extracted from the bibliometric, study characteristics, and pain science families of variables. Results will be descriptively mapped, and the frequency of concepts, population, characteristics and other details will be narratively reported. Additionally, results will be presented in tabular and graphical form.</jats:p></jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title>Ethics and dissemination</jats:title><jats:p>As this study will neither involve human subject participation nor utilisation of protected data, ethical approval is not required. This study’s methodological approach follows current recommendations. Study findings will be disseminated through conference presentations and international peer-review journal publication. In addition, infographics available in English, Spanish and German will be disseminated.</jats:p></jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title>Registration details</jats:title><jats:p>This project will be registered in Open Science Framework prior to data collection.</jats:p></jats:sec>

    Revista Chilena de Pediatría: 90 años de historia

    <jats:p>Revista Chilena de Pediatría (RCHP) se ha publicado en forma ininterrumpida desde su primera edición en enero de 1930, sorteando vaivenes políticos y económicos, innovación tecnológica y transformaciones sociales. El objetivo del presente manuscrito es homenajear y agradecer a los editores que participaron tan activamente de la publicación de RCHP y repasar los grandes hitos, que la han llevado al posicionamiento que tiene hoy como revista de corriente principal. Desde su ingreso al mundo digital hace 2 décadas, se ha registrado un importante aumento en el flujo de manuscritos recibidos, participación de autores extranjeros, citas recibidas y ascenso en los rankings internacionales. En el año 2014 RCHP fue incorporada a la National Library of Medicine (NLM) y el 2017 al Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) mientras se evalúa para recibir un Factor de Impacto (FI) de parte del Journal Citation Report (JCR). Como revista representante de una sociedad científica, es fundamental mantener el equilibrio entre la sustentabilidad científica y la económica, entre la promoción de la publicación nacional y la internacionalización, entre el impacto científico requerido para continuar ascendiendo en los rankings internacionales y su rol en la educación continua, con impacto en la atención y cuidado de nuestros niños, en los distintos rincones del país.</jats:p>
