Abstract
This chapter aims to explore the experience of (self-)knowledge in human life, from a phenomenological approach. Through the review of some central texts of Edmund Husserl’s work, as well as the analysis of important post-Husserlian thinkers, we describe how the human being acquires self-knowledge through a reflexive and pre-reflexive dimension of consciousness.
